you've probably heard of k-pop! the k-pop industry as we know it now first formed in the 90s and gained international traction around when i was in middle school. before that, a lot of my peers didn't know anything about my country. it was exciting to see k-pop become so famous.
that said, there is a lot of awesome korean music that i wish people knew about too. k-pop is just a very specific genre, after all, and there is so much else to listen to!
